St Francis v Duke
DURHAM, NC - DECEMBER 05: Javin DeLaurier #12 and Marques Bolden #20 of the Duke Blue Devils react following a basket by Bolden during their game against the St. Francis (Pa) Red Flash at Cameron Indoor Stadium on December 5, 2017 in Durham, North Carolina.

Duke’s young big men will have to stay out of foul trouble Wednesday at Pitt as backups Marques Bolden and Javin DeLaurier are out and doubtful respectively.

Bolden has a grade 1 MCL sprain after Jack White collided with him in practice, and DeLaurier has a hamstring problem.

Fortunately, Antonio Vrankovic has become a solid player and can hold his own. His lower body has been his liability but he’s obviously put a lot of time in in the weight room and he’s got two major assets: great hands and he’s smart. He makes really good decisions.

We’ve been really impressed with what we’ve seen of Justin Robinson in limited minutes. He’s not an elite player physically but he is mentally. That guy comes ready to play. We’re not sure anyone on Duke’s team plays with more intensity.

He may get a chance to make his case Wednesday and whatever else happens, that kid will bust his ass and help his team. Count on it.
