Sacramento Kings v Los Angeles Lakers
LAS VEGAS, NV - OCTOBER 08: Harry Giles #20 of the Sacramento Kings pretends as if he is going to dunk as the basket is repaired during warmups before the team’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers at T-Mobile Arena on October 8, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Los Angeles won 75-69.

Bad news and good news for the Sacramento Kings and Harry Giles. The good news: he’s fully healed. The bad news?

Well it’s only sort of bad.

The Kings are going to hold him out until it’s time for summer league play and essentially give him a mulligan for his rookie year.

The Kings and Giles have worked hard and the word out of Sacramento, as reflected in the article linked here, is that the pre-Duke Harry is back, only better.

The Kings have really done their homework and worked hard to rebuild him from the ground up. It’s not just about the knees. It’s structural. He’s bigger, stronger and more flexible now than he’s ever been.

Next year, when they put him on the same team with Willie Cauley-Stein and De’Aaron Fox, the Kings are going to be lightning fast.
