Two Duke NBA updates from L.A. starting with Brandon Ingram, who no longer looks like Spongebob Squarepants.
Ingram, who some in the Lakers organization reckon is now 6-11, stronger, and vastly more confident. He’s beginning to play with a lot more confidence and the Lakers see a very different player now than they saw last season.
Second is a look at how far Austin Rivers has come.
When he first got to the league he seemed like he might be a bust and he hasn’t been a break-out star. However he has steadily improved and as a starter last year averaged 16.1 ppg and shot fairly well. For as long as he plays for his dad there will be taunts and insinuations but the best way to shut that down is through playing well and Rivers has been doing that. Could this season be a breakthrough? We’ll see. But there’s no question now that he belongs.
