Duke, UNC Leaving Players Home For Operation Basketball

Following an NCAA rule change about how players can spend their time off, Duke and UNC, and possibly other schools, will not bring players to the ACC’s basketball media day, Operation Basketball.

Previously, you were allowed to bring players and have it counted as a day off, but now media events are no longer exempt.

Duke said this via SID Cory Walton: "In order to both comply with the new rules governing student-athletes' hours and maximize our practice opportunities, we have decided that we will not have student-athletes attend Operation Basketball.”
