The rising tide of NBA contracts has lifted former Blue Devil Mason Plumlee to the point where he should have generational wealth: Plumlee signed a fat new deal with the Denver Nuggets. It’s a three-year, $41 million dollar contract and that should last his children, his grandchildren, and maybe his great-grandchildren, a good long time.

He could live - with no problem - off his previous NBA earnings of around $6.5 million for a fairly long time, assuming he’s careful with his money, and just let the new money build.

As Larry Johnson once said, his goal was to live off of interest and let the principal build. Plumlee’s options are wide open.
