Here’s a little update on former Devil Tyus Jones, who has moved up the depth chart for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Last year he was behind Ricky Rubio and Kris Dunn; now Rubio is with Utah and Dunn is now with Chicago.

Minnesota now has former Demon Deacon Jeff Teague who’s nearly 30. He’s not over the hill yet but he’s getting near the top.

Jones has embraced the chance to be his backup: “That’s something I want. As a competitor, you’re always trying to improve and wanting to play more. That’s just how that goes. Anybody you’d ask, they’ll tell you the same thing. I’m definitely ready to try to take advantage of that opportunity and make the most of it. I’m confident in myself and my abilities.”
