One of the more interesting incoming ACC recruits will be at Syracuse and he has a familiar last name: Boeheim.
Yes, Jim’s boy, Buddy, will be at Syracuse next season. And that means a few interesting things.
First of all, Buddy has game. He’ll be the best walk-on in the ACC and one of the best we’ve seen. That’s not necessarily saying much of course but he’ll walk on because that way Syracuse can save the scholarship. The article linked here suggests that employees can send their kids to SU and have the tuition covered (we’re not sure but it’s implied).
But aside from that it also means something else pretty interesting.
Jim Boeheim will retire eventually but if he can help it, it won’t be in the next four years. He’ll want to be there for Buddy.
