Kings Give Matt Jones A Chance

Still a long way to go to make the team but at least he has an opportunity.

Former Blue Devil Matt Jones wasn’t drafted this summer but he’s a tough player and a really solid defender and a real character guy. At one point in his career, Coach K said that he’d never had a bad practice. That’s really high praise.

He’s been hoping to make the NBA and looks like the Kings will give him a shot, or at least a shot at a shot: they’ve signed him to a training camp deal.

The odds of him making the roster aren’t great but he’s one of those guys you’d be foolish to count out.
