Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball is one of the guys who is going to be closely watched in NBA Summer League play but against the Clippers, former Blue Devil Brandon Ingram was the show: Ingram scored 26 points on 9-17 from the floor.
Ball on the other hand was just 1-11 from deep and scored just five points.
It’s only one game of course and people shouldn’t read too much into it. You just can’t get much perspective from one game.
In another summer league note, Fanrag’s David O’Brien pegs Duke’s Luke Kennard as one of the players who is most surpassing expectations and in particular speaks well of his defense, a concern a few days ago.
Apparently it’s not so much a problem now.
By the way, Ingram’s Lakers will play Jayson Tatum’s Boston Celtics Saturday.
