Michigan v Duke

Nolan Smith is one of our all-time favorite Duke players. He just always seemed like a pretty happy guy, even though he had some real sadness in his life with his father dying young, and we appreciate his extroverted personality.

During a Countdown To Craziness, he was on the court with a microphone bellowing “are you not entertained?” to the crowd.

He’s always been fun.

Anyway, he’s doing something pretty cool now: he’s a celebrity ambassador forTeen Cancer America.

TCA works to help hospitals better understand cancer in teen patients. They also help to organize special hospital units for young patients.

As part of this endeavor, Smith will host a Teen Cancer America Hoop-a-thon Challenge on July 22 at the Emily K Center in Durham.

It sounds like a fun event and a great chance to see some prominent players.

And your good time will help others too.
