2017 NBA Draft
NEW YORK, NY - JUNE 22: Jayson Tatum walks to stage after being drafted third overall by the Boston Celtics during the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft at Barclays Center on June 22, 2017 in New York City.

Jayson Tatum had a solid debut in NBA Summer League: he scored 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting. He also had seven rebounds, five steals, three assists and one turnover in 33 minutes - and hit the game winner with 5.7 seconds left.

It was a good night for Boston all around. After the Duke-Butler title game in 2010, we said the game would link the schools for a long time.

Happened again as Gordon Hayward left Utah and his coach, former Blue Devil Quin Snyder, for Boston and his college coach Brad Stevens.

We’re not sure what that means for Tatum. They’ll both play certainly but their roles will at least overlap.
