Here’s something nice to hear: there’s a documentary coming soon about former DeMatha coach Morgan Wooten.
For anyone who might not know, Wooten was phenomenally successful at DeMatha and put tons of players into college ball and the NBA. Among them: Adrian Dantley, Kenny Carr, Hawkeye Whitney, Derrick Whittenburg, Sidney Lowe and of course Duke great Danny Ferry.
We’ve followed basketball for a long time and we’re very aware of Wooten, but we had no idea that he was a Durham native.
Anyway, it’s coming out on August 7th and will be on Youtube, iTunes and Google Play.
And if you’re in the Triangle, it will debut at Silverspot at Chapel Hill.
