NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament Final-Notre Dame vs Duke
Mar 11, 2017; Brooklyn, NY, USA; Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski cuts the net after defeating against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish during the ACC Conference Tournament Final at Barclays Center. Duke Blue Devils won 75-69.
Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC released the conference matchups on Thursday. It’s the first time the conference is playing a 20-game schedule. Here’s Duke’s:

  • Home/Road: North Carolina , Wake Forest , Virginia Tech, Pitt
  • Home: Florida State, Virginia, Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame
  • Road: Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson, NC State, Boston College

A lot would have to change for Duke not to play UNC twice a year; that’s a given. Wake and Virginia Tech will be tough games in both places. Pitt is likely to be down.

For the one-off road games, Duke gets Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson, State and BC. That’s not too bad a draw.

The home schedule is pretty good from a fan’s point of view: Florida State, UVA, Louisville, Syracuse and Notre Dame.

The ACC is always going to be a brutal league and since the round robin schedule was abandoned, you never know what’s coming. For a young team, this is probably a pretty good draw.

Here’s the full conference matchups.
