The ACC released the conference matchups on Thursday. It’s the first time the conference is playing a 20-game schedule. Here’s Duke’s:
- Home/Road: North Carolina , Wake Forest , Virginia Tech, Pitt
- Home: Florida State, Virginia, Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame
- Road: Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson, NC State, Boston College
A lot would have to change for Duke not to play UNC twice a year; that’s a given. Wake and Virginia Tech will be tough games in both places. Pitt is likely to be down.
For the one-off road games, Duke gets Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson, State and BC. That’s not too bad a draw.
The home schedule is pretty good from a fan’s point of view: Florida State, UVA, Louisville, Syracuse and Notre Dame.
The ACC is always going to be a brutal league and since the round robin schedule was abandoned, you never know what’s coming. For a young team, this is probably a pretty good draw.
Here’s the full conference matchups.
