Wilt Chamberlain’s name is written all over the NBA record book. A lot of his records have fallen since he left the game, but one has only been tied: his vertical of “48.

Darrell Griffith, aka Dr. Dunkenstein, tied it, but no one else has.

Until now.

NC State’s Dennis Smith did it Sunday in L.A.

That’s staggering: a four foot vertical?

As great as that is, imagine it from a 7-1 guy with world-class sprint speed and power beyond Shaquille’s. Chamberlain was athletically incredible.

Still, Smith’s athleticism is off the charts.
