That’d be huge for Tatum and for Duke.

On Tuesday night the draft lottery was held and Boston’s fabled luck, somewhat absent in recent years, returned as the Celtics won the first pick.

The question now is what they’ll do. A lot of mock drafts suggested that the C’s would pick Markelle Fultz, the talented freshman point guard from Washington.

That of course suggests that Isaiah Thomas is not seen as a viable long-term point.

He’s been on a massive tear this season though and it hasn’t ended in the playoffs. So they might not see that as a problem anymore. So what might they do instead?

Well, over at CBSSports.com, Reid Forgave thinks that Boston will pick...Jayson Tatum.

Who could argue with that? Boston has a great coach and a great young core. They have more options than most teams could dream of.

L.A. wil pick second and the Lakers are likely to take Lonzo Ball. That would help former Blue Devil Brandon Ingram a lot.

Philly will pick third. We’re not sure what’s up with the Sixers and Jahlil Okafor, but the Sixers have plenty of trade options if they went that route. Philly has Okafor, Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric, Virginia’s Justin Anderson and of course former Blue Devil Gerald Henderson.

Think they’d be happy with Fultz, De’Aaron Fox or Dennis Smith?
