When Duke signed Semi Ojeleye, we were really psyched. He was a strong, talented guy who was in position to really do great things at Duke.

Didn't turn out that way of course. He ended up transferring to SMU after his freshman year. We always felt bad about it because we thought he could have been great for Duke.

In this article from the Sporting News, he talks about his experience at Duke and says this: “I wasn’t prepared, mentally or physically. So I don’t think I ever performed at my best. Being a young kid, I could never get over that hump. I tried the best I could...[T]he overall experience at Duke was great. If I could do it over again, I’d still go there. It was a great opportunity playing for Coach K. It definitely made me the person I am today.”
