NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Buffalo Practice
Mar 15, 2017; Buffalo, NY, USA; CBS television commentator Jim Spanarkel watches the Princeton practice session for the first round of 2017 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Every so often it’s fun to find some old video on YouTube. The other day we linked Sean Dockery’s buzzer beater against Virginia Tech which was fun to see again.

Sometimes it’s just old masters like Pete Maravich or Wilt Chamberlain.

This is not one of those times.

Jim Spanarkel was a vastly under appreciated player at Duke. He was 6-5 and pigeon-toed and not all that fast really.

All he did was bail Duke out over and over.

So we thought it might be good to find some Spanarkel footage. We did, but it was in an elevator.

It’s nice to see he’s still bailing people out and making assists though in this case the assist is with a belt and ladder.

Not at all what we expected to see but very much in character.
