Duke Recruiting: Goldwire Makes It Official

After a whirlwind recruitment, Jordan Goldwire signed with Duke Wednesday.

He’s coming in as a lightly regarded point guard prospect compared to the more elite guys, but on the other hand, he’s likely to be here for four years and you never know how players will develop.

We like his attitude and his willingness to be part of something great even if he is starting near the bottom of the rotation.

We expect he’ll very quickly become a Cameron favorite.

With Goldwire, Alex O’ Connell and Wendell Carter, Jr. all joining the roster from the Peach State, we’d like to urge the band to learn a Georgia-themed song: Georgia on my mind, Rainy night in Georgia or, most likely at a basketball game, Midnight train to Georgia.

Or maybe just a Georgia-based band. Love Shack would work nicely.
