Last year it seemed like there were daily trade rumors about former Blue Devil Jahlil Okafor. We set up a running search and it came back with almost daily articles.

Still does, actually, but now one seems to have some heat and make some sense: the Pelicans are apparently actively trying to work a deal.

Pairing Okafor with Anthony Davis would help solve two problems: Davis would help mask Okafor’s still inadequate defense and would give the Pelicans a wide body inside to minimize the beatings that the slender Davis takes on an almost nightly basis.

Philly has Okafor, Joel Embeed and Nerlens Noel, and there’s no point in keeping all three.

It’s an intriguing deal. Now if the Pelicans could swing a deal to get Tyus Jones.
