Good news for the Miami Heat, bad news for the rest of the NBA: former Blue Devil Shane Battier is joining the front office.

Battier will become the director of basketball development and analytics and will be responsible for all talent evaluation - of current players and of college prospects as well.

We expect he’ll be brilliant at it just like he has been at almost everything he’s tried.
