Events like Countdown to Craziness are fun and a celebration of your favorite team, but they’re basically meaningless. It’s not that much different in that respect than the NBA All-Star game except that in the college events, the coaches actually do try to get a minimum of defensive effort.

But realistically, it’s mostly for fun. If Trevon Duval had thrown an alley-pop pass to himself during a real game, Coach K would have likely pulled him out and sat him for a bit to make a point.

Still, it is fun and for the staff, it’s a chance to see how guys react.

So first, here’s the story from GoDuke.com with video, and second, here’s an article from the N&O with five insights about this team.

Here’s #6: Alex O’ Connell is likely to be the next Blue Devil everyone loves to hate.

Also, a bunch of recruits were in, starting with the Human Dunk Machine, Zion Williamson, but also unofficially several 2019 kids like Joey Baker, Matthew Hurt, Armando Bacot and 2020 talents Isaiah Todd and R.J. Hampton.
