In the latest scandal news, Rick Pitino says he’ll be vindicated. He’s also selling his house and leaving Louisville (he’s currently in Miami).
When he was asked if he was the FBI’s “Coach 2” he said that "doesn't matter if I am or not."
Well actually it probably does, although he says that when he talked about Jim Gallo, it was about helping a former player with his contract.
Speaking of Miami, Brian Bowen has hired an attorney from Pitino’s new city, Jason Setchen, who helped DeQuan Jones through Miami’s Nevin Shapiro scandal. Bowen will fight to return to the team.
And a major donor has appealed to the university to keep A.D. Tom Jurich.
Coaches weighing in on the scandal:
Never let it be said that the Tucson Daily Star is slow: the paper has branded it The Book Richardson basketball scandal, neatly excusing Sean Miller and everyone else around McKale Center.
Miller has had many fine people say he surely is blameless, but his continuing silence is not encouraging.
