Duke In The NBA: Kennard Gets An Early Opportunity To Impress

As the Pistons look at the rookie in a starting role

Yes, it’s still pre-season in the NBA, but still, look who started at guard for Detroit Monday night against the Pistons: Luke Kennard. It’s not a permanent move; like everyone, the Pistons are resting starters and looking at other assets and that’s what happened with Kennard. Still pretty cool though.

The rookie from Duke played 26 minutes and shot 3-4 for six points. Kyrie Irving got a DNP-REST.

Meanwhile, Philly and Boston played as well, and Jayson Tatum started too, playing 23 minutes and scoring seven on 2-6.

For Philly, Jahlil Okafor also started, played 21 minutes scoring six on 3-4 with five boards.
