We had never heard of the Hollywood Shorties but what a great story. It started as a baseball team formed by the legendary Billy Barty, perhaps the premier little person to ever work in Hollywood.

Barty, as it turns out, lettered in football and basketball in college. The man was 3-9.

Anyway, he started a baseball team for little people and later some of the athletes started a basketball team.

It’s a wonderful movie, a bit bittersweet, but what’s not? You’ll love it.

Brian Cox, pictured above, is a key player in the movie. Like a lot of the actors, you’ve probably seen Cox and not realized it. Among his other roles, he was an Ewok.
