As we all know, Duke football is into a new cycle and is incorporating a lot of young players, including true freshmen.

So how’s it going?

Coach David Cutcliffe says pretty well.

He used eight true freshmen against NC Central Saturday, with the most prominent being quarterback Daniel Jones, who did very well (albeit against a team that was almost certainly going to lose).

The rest? Well, like all freshmen it’s hit-and-miss. But there was some talent on the field.
