For fans, losing a key player is a moment of concern and -what-might-have-beens.

For coaches, though, it’s a moment of cold and necessary calculation: who do I turn to now?

With Thomas Sirk out, Duke’s David Cutcliffe has turned to redshirt freshman Daniel Jones.

Fans don’t know anything about him, but his teammates do: they’ve been calling him “The Future” for some time now.
