David Cutcliffe has had a week to look at his team and he’s generally pleased. Quarterback Thomas Sirk is making progress, he’s working in new kickers and focused also on receivers and running backs.

Big-time recruit Scott Bracey is sitting with a hamstring injury, which is a drag.

Tight end Daniel Helm, who transferred from Tennessee, is ready to get back on the field.

The ACC of course has new deal with ESPN and ESPN wants to upgrade football schedules and highlight the best teams - something the conference has not yet agreed to.
