All things considered, last year wasn’t that great for former Duke player Jahlil Okafor.

He had a season ending injury and before that, for the first time in his life, some disciplinary issues.

And on top of that, he saw his game picked apart in the media in ways that he’d never had to deal with before.

And then there was the endless, incredible losing and the trade rumors.

Well things are looking up. The trade rumors haven’t stopped, but the 76ers are vastly more stable now. Joel Embiid appears to be regaining his health and the team picked up Ben Simmons in the draft.

Simmons has had some serious criticism of his game too, with people questioning his motivation and his shooting ability.

But he’s made a great impression so far especially as a passer.

And for Okafor, and all of his teammates, there’s nothing better than having a great passer.

Okafor is famous for his post skills (at least on offense).

With a great passer, he’s going to be vastly more dangerous. And like Jabari Parker, he appears to have whipped himself into the best shape of his life.

We won’t know until we see him play, but he looks great.
