In a couple of ACC notes, Miami has picked up VCU transfer Michael Gilmore. A 6-9 forward, he'll have to sit out this year and then have two years left.

He's the nephew of former NBA great Artis Gilmore.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech will have Ty Outlaw and Ahmad Hill back.

Outlaw transferred from a JUCO but sat out last year with an unspecified health problem.

Hill had knee surgery and missed last year.

They'll add a lot to the athletic core Buzz Williams is assembling.

And up in Syracuse, ACC money is making a definite impression.
