Olympic Basketball: Spain, Though Aging, Is Still Very Dangerous

One of the better teams in Olympic play is going to be Spain - nothing new there.

Here's their current national roster. We put the NBA players at the top followed by Real Madrid guys and then FC Barcelona Lassa. We don't know the other clubs as well.

A lot of the names are familiar though, and not just the NBA guys.

Rudy Fernandez is a very skilled guard who has NBA experience. Sergio Rodriguez and Juan Carlos Navarro have been around forever.

That's part of Spain's problem. Whatever the elder Gasol decides to do, he's 35. His brother Marc is 31 and recovering from foot surgery. Jose Calderon is 34, Fernandez 31, Navarro 35.

Spain is getting up there.

Of course Ricky Rubio is just 25 and big man Serge Ibaka, who could be the best big man in the Games, is 26.

So Spain is a long way from busted. We may see some new faces this time though.
