UNC’s win over Radford was a tale of two guards: Kenny Williams had his career high in the first five minutes while Joel Berry left the game with a sprained ankle.

No word yet on how severe the injury is but he’s the second UNC guard out if he is out (joining Theo Pinson).

Seventh Woods filled in and Radford was no challenge for UNC.

The injury could be a factor if it lingers. UNC plays Davidson on Pearl Harbor Day, then makes an SEC foray with Tennessee on the 11th and Kentucky on the 17th.

Freshman Tony Bradley had 11 rebounds off the bench.

Clemson whipped Coppin State by 42, a win Brad Brownell called “stress-free.”

You don’t hear that too often.

Jaron Blossomgame had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Center Side Djitte had 13 rebounds.

After his injury set him back, Shelton Mitchell is back in the starting lineup and shot 6-8. Avry Holmes was 4-6 making the backcourt 10-14.

George Washington was missing two players to injury but that doesn't detract from FSU’s solid defense: the Patriots hit just 14 shots overall and just 22.6% from the floor.

It’s worth mentioning now that FSU is three points away from being undefeated and only two games have been remotely close.

Florida State could close to Florida on the 11th but otherwise we’d expect them to roll in to Winston-Salem on the 28th at 13-1 to set up a really interesting game.

The next game, at Virginia, will also be compelling.

Mike Brey has had one other Notre Dame team move to 8-0, a mark this year’s team matched with a 54-point win over North Carolina A&T.

The Irish put seven guys in double figures, led by VJ Beacham with 19. Bonzi Colson had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

On Monday, Syracuse has a nostalgia game with UConn in the Garden. Unfortunately, the Huskies are lousy currently and Syracuse hasn’t played well lately so it may not be what folks are hoping for.

Then again, there’s a lot of history here.
