Kentucky and Louisville put on another show on Wednesday but this year it was Louisville’s experience over Kentucky’s talent.
It was still close though - Louisville had to rely on missed free throws and clutch play to pull it out - but the Cards did it.
Still, Kentucky was right there until the end.
Quentin Snyder finished with 22 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
UNC didn’t have much trouble with Northern Illinois, winning 85-42. Kennedy Meeks led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds.
It wasn’t a tough game for the Heels, but earlier in the day the NCAA issued its third NOA as the UNC scandal rolls on and on.
Up in Syracuse..what the hell? Losing at home is one thing. Losing at home by 33 is one thing. But losing at home to a weak St. John’s?
Syracuse better figure things out quick or they’ll discover a new ACC tradition.
Well, new to them anyway: the ancient ACC tradition of no mercy.
If Syracuse continues on like this everyone is going to revel in the chance to pull a St. John’s. It’s going to be a completely different sort of ACC experience. d
Cal pushed Virginia but the Cars came through with a 56-52 win over the Bears. Cali native London Perrantes had 14.
It was a tight road game but nothing unusual for the Cavs.
Clemson moved to 9-2 with a huge win over South Carolina. Rivalry game? Check. Resume game? Check. Big road win. Check.
It’s all good.
Jaron Blossomgame had 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Tigers beat South Carolina 62-60. We didn’t know this: it was Clemson’s first-ever road win over a ranked non-conference team? Wow.
After the win, a Tiger yelled “this is our city!” Well not really, but Wednesday night?
Sure.
Not that it’s worth much, but Clemson is 3-0 against the SEC this season.
