Here’s some more information on the Wake Forest scandal, with a plausible though unproven suggestion for how information was transferred from Tommy Elrod to Louisville: SI’s Michael Rosenburg points out that Louisville’s Lonnie Galloway was previously co-coordinator of Wake’s passing game. His partner?
None other than Elrod.
That could be a coincidence, for all most of us know Galloway could be a beacon of integrity (though he works for someone who is anything but which undercuts that argument a bit). People being people though, they’re going to speculate.
Along those lines, here’s something else to wonder about: did any gamblers get wind of this operation?
- Update - Louisville comes (partially) clean
