There’s been a lot of excitement around NC State freshman Dennis Smith, and it’s completely understandable. The guy has huge potential.

He’s not all State has to offer though. Torin Dorn sat out last year after transferring from Charlotte, where he had a big freshman year, so ACC fans didn’t see him play last season.

Here are some Chavis league highlights. People who aren’t from around the Triangle might not realize it, but the Chavis League gets some great players every summer.

In other words, he’s not just playing well against lesser opponents. State’s backcourt looks to be in good shape.
