Over the summer, as San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich spent time around the national team, getting a feel for his new job as Coach K’s successor with Team USA, Coach K persuaded him to come on his SiriusXM radio show.

That happened Thursday and it sounds like it was a great exchange.

We don’t subscribe, but everything we’ve heard sounds great. The N&O has a pretty relevant quote from Pop: “No smoke at you, but how you did this for 12 years, I’ll never be able to figure out. It’s one heck of an operation. Everybody in the public who watches it expects, ‘Oh, USA’s just gonna win.’ They just take everything for granted. They have no clue how difficult everything is.”
