Normally we turn to Zagsblog for recruiting but he talks about New York teams as well, which gave us a double dose of Duke news Thursday featuring Marshall Plumlee and Lance Thomas.

In the first story, Plumlee is contrasted with new teammate Joakim Noah, who has reservations about having dinner at West Point with the Cadets.

Plumlee of course has no such reservations - at some point he’ll be an Army officer.

Noah, who has always been a warrior on the court, has a pacifist bent about actual combat.

They seem to get along in spite of this difference, with Plumlee talking about how much he appreciates Noah’s mentorship.

In the second story, former Blue Devil Lance Thomas talks about being happy to have Plumlee in New York: "Yeah, I knew Marshall, I remember when Marshall was in high school. He was coming to visit his brothers, who I played with, Miles and Mason. It's very good to have him here."

So far, the Knicks seem pretty happy with Plumlee’s energy and maturity.
