Zac Roper has done a bang-up job as special teams coach for Duke and with Scottie Montgomery off to take the head coaches job at ECU, there was an opening at offensive coordinator.

Head coach David Cutcliffe said there were "tears of joy" when he announced the promotion.

Zac is the second Roper to be Duke's offensive coordinator. His brother, Kurt, had the job before Montgomery.
