In Saturday's ACC action, Georgia Tech hosts Virginia, Pitt jets out to Notre Dame, Florida State takes on Miami and Syracuse welcomes UNC as Jim Boeheim returns. What will Brice Johnson do after his monster game against FSU? Bonus trouble for the 'Cuse: Kennedy Meeks should return. Good news for the 'Cuse: Frank Howard may return too.

It may not help: Syracuse is off to a woeful start and re-acclimating to Boeheim might take a game or two. We'll see. A loss would drop Syracuse to 0-4 and stick the Orange firmly at the bottom of the league.

Georgia Tech is vastly improved but we'll stick with an angry Virginia here. The loss to Virginia Tech should rankle. However, it's a critical game already for Tech and our principle has always been that despair is a major factor in ACC competition. Expect a good game from the Yellow Jackets.

Pitt and Notre Dame should be fun. Being at home should put the Irish over the top and the Irish have certainly improved.

We'll take Miami over Florida State because Miami plays better D than Florida State right now. Florida State is fun but not there yet.
