Marvin Bagley III, who is perhaps the best young big man in high school today, won't play this season, or at least not in California.

He's been ruled ineligible by the Californi Interscholastic Federation Southern Section.

He can still appeal, and at this point, elite high school players are as much AAU players as high school kids. Still, he seems caught in some grownup games, which is too bad.
