You can talk about the current scandal or Rick Pitino's previous mess with an extortionist. You can make fun of him for flipping off the Kentucky crowd recently. You can make fun of his smarminess.

When you're done, though, make sure to remember that he's a brilliant coach who doesn't take kindly to losing. So perhaps it's no great surprise that, after saying his Cards deserved to lose at Clemson, that he got his players seriously fired up for Pitt.

Pitt managed just 41 points on the evening. Louisville held the Panthers to just 28.6% and 1-11 from three point range. Pitt had 19 turnovers and just four assists.

Any way you look at it, it was a tremendous performance.

After the last couple of days, the only undefeated team left is UNC. Clemson is now in second place at 4-1 while Pitt, Duke, Louisville and...Virginia Tech? - are all at 3-1.

Saturday may offer some clarity. Virginia Tech visits Atlanta, Duke hosts Notre Dame and Clemson welcomes Miami. No one has a guaranteed win.

Well, maybe Pitt does: BC comes to town to take on the Panthers.
