Duke is a very different team this year with much more firepower in the backcourt than last season.

Grayson Allen made his mark in the Final Four but has the potential to do much, much more.He has an interesting backstory. It's even more interesting when the link works, which it does now.

Then there's Luke Kennard. We've only seen him in two exhibitions and that's not much to judge anyone on, but to us, his feel for the game is pretty clear. He's going to be really good.

Here's a nice bit on him from the Dayton Daily News.

Kennard is from Franklin, Ohio, which, as it turns out, has a pretty interesting history.

The first mayor was named Dr. Absalom Death. How can you beat Mayor Death?

Franklin was heavily damaged by the Great Flood of 1913. Franklin also is the home of the world's first garbage recycling plant and, allegedly, of Pete Rose's main bookie.

There were also some interesting crimes along the way. For a town of 11,771 people, it's a pretty busy place.
