ACC Roundup - Virginia Tech Breaks Through

The Hokies finally win one for Buzz Williams

Michael Shroyer-USA TODAY Sports

You know, Buzz Williams is doing an amazing job at Blacksburg. You might say huh? When you realize that the Hokies are 10-11 and just 1-6 in the ACC, well, that's a fair point.

Tuesday's Results
Virginia Tech 70 Pitt 67

Still, Williams is doing a hell of a lot with a limited roster.

The win over Pitt came in overtime when Adam Smith hid a deep three with four seconds left.

This comes on the heels of this weekend's spectacular effort against Virginia.

No team in the ACC is getting more out of its roster than Virginia Tech is. We admire them immensely. Realistically, this team should be getting blown out nightly. That they've found a way is a huge tribute to Williams and his coaching ability.

Wednesday features five games. Other than Duke-Notre Dame, most of them are not that appealing to be honest.

The NCAA report about Syracuse is now overdue - most are within 60 days. It's now been 88. The Syracuse paper breaks it down.
