ACC Roundup

We're really not sure why, but we're keeping an eye on BC today.

Duke and Louisville play the marquee game Saturday, but the ACC has plenty to offer beyond the noon game: a resurgent NC State visits Florida State, an intriguing Miami makes the long trip to Notre Dame, BC hosts Virginia, Georgia Tech takes on Pitt at Pitt and Syracuse goes to Clemson.

We would love to be in Littlejohn for Jim Boeheim's first visit: stomach unhappy with no restaurants which meet his standards, and suddenly finding his team thrust into an intensely hostile arena...it could all be fascinating, not least of all the press conference. And Clemson might win, too, which probably wouldn't have happened last year, when Syracuse had the unflappable basketball Buddha,Tyler Ennis.

State's inside game is improved but Florida's front line is massive. It's a very interesting matchup. It'd be a good time for Beejay Anya to have a big game.

Notre Dame and Miami should be good and Miami's odds go up if Zach Auguste sits again.

Are we the only ones who think BC could shock the world? Here's why: clearly, they're very well coached. It's also a group with a lot of experience.

Virginia needs to play along too, which would mean a touch of complacency. We doubt they're very excited about this game to be honest.

We won't call an upset here but the conditions could work out for one. Don't be shocked.

Georgia Tech really, really needs a win. The Yellow Jackets have been really close but just haven't pulled it off.

Pitt is beatable but the Jackets have to keep working and expecting to win. Otherwise the season could go south very quickly.

Well, further south.
