With Team USA busy in Europe, the original plan was to send Jeff Capel home to oversee the Duke program in K's absence. But Nate James and Jon Scheyer have done such a great job that Capel stayed in Spain.

There is one concerning note in this story, and it's that Amile Jefferson has not yet recovered from his June injury. He's doing light workouts but not yet full speed basketball.

James raves about rookie Jahlil Okafor's talent, calling the young big man a mix of Mason Plumlee and Elton Brand, and also calling him "a dancing bear."

Sounds like fun to us.
