No one (no one outside of Lexington anyway) would argue that Rick Pitino is anything but a great coach. No one has ever accused him of having great taste either. Check this or this for confirmation.

Take the new Louisville uniforms, which may be the first college jerseys to feature a faux cumberbund.

Okay, maybe it's adidas and not Pitino. He's the one who has to sign off and approve this though. We're pretty sure if the shoeboys came to him with some Valvano-esque tights, he'd have politely but firmly said no.

Don't get us wrong - Nike has done some incredibly hideous design work over the years and then inflicted the same basic model on multiple schools, including Duke on occasion (remember the green jerseys which were changed at halftime?).

Louisville's going with cumberbunds all year. That's truly unfortunate.

Sometimes going back is going forward. The Cardinals have never improved on this classic lookPitino should tell adidas to go back to the drawing board.
