Coach K Lauds Jefferson's Leadership

Mike Krzyzewski often says that Duke has three systems - offense, defense and communication. And he says that Amile Jefferson has unusual talent as a communicator.

In case you were wondering what Amile Jefferson's role will be this year, in a nutshell, he's going to be not the glue guy but the super-glue guy. Check out what Coach K said during his Thursday press conference:

"I think Amile has a huge role on this team. "Amile is our best on-the-court communicator. He talks well. He understands the game well. It's a huge plus. We actually didn't have it with our U.S. team, and we haven't had it here for a while. I'm not saying he's (Shane) Battier, but that's what Shane did - he communicated the game while it was going on. You didn't have to wait for a timeout."

Even being compared to Battier is a huge compliment. That's strong stuff.
