Where Dell Curry Learned To Shoot

The Curry men have become basketball aristocrats because of their particular gift, which, as it turns out, Dell first mastered partly because his sisters kept locking him out of the house.

Although Steph Curry didn't shoot particularly well in the FIBA World Cup, he, his brother Seth and father Dell are all well known for being superb marksmen on the court.

As it turns out, the lineage can be traced back to some surprising roots: a broken wrist which encouraged one-handed shooting (not in this story though) and  Dell being locked out of the house by his sisters and being given a key to his high school coach's barn where he had a goal.

Obviously he was a profound influence on both sons. Seth was absolutely brilliant at times at Duke, and brother Stephen is setting new standards for three point shooting that are remarkable. This is a pretty cool read.
