Jazz Looking Closely At Quin Snyder For Coaching Position

Snyder has paid his NBA dues and is ready to move up.

Quin Snyder, who has paid some NBA dues in the D-League and as an assistant since leaving Missouri under unpleasant circumstances, may well be the next coach of the Utah Jazz.

A report in the Deseret News says that the Jazz have Snyder "very high on a short list."

If hired, he'll be looking for people. One logical candidate, if he's interested: Shane Battier.

That may not be what he wants to do, but Battier would be a tremendous coach.
