Well now this is very cool and smart: as his first hire at Marquette, Wojo has picked Chris Carrawell.

Aside from his basketball knowledge and leadership abilities, Chris Carrawell is one of the least pretentious people we've ever met. He's got a great personality and recruiting will go well - moms will love him. Congratulations to both parties. We hope it's a long and fruitful relationship.

In keeping with recent coaching trends, the new head coach may hire an experienced man to sit beside him: former Drake coach Mark Phelps is looking seriously at joining the Marquette staff. He's said to be an outstanding recruiter.

He and C-well can start out working on Buzz Williams recruits Malek Harris and Nick Noskowiak. Both have said they'll consider their options with Harris waiting to talk to Wojo first.
