Grant Hill has been through the NBA wars enough to be able to give advice to an up-and-comer like Kyrie Irving on how to handle adversity and, for lack of a better word, rumoring.

If you missed it, Kyrie is getting a lot of flack for stories which haven't been very flattering and which suggest, among other things, that he's a) not happy in Cleveland, b) has grown distant with LeBron, thus undermining the chances that King James might return to the Cavs, and c) has manipulated the front office and had people fired.

Not nice stuff.

Here's the gist of Grant's advice: "It is part of it, every great player is going to go through that. You are going to go through that criticism, you are going to go through people taking shots at you. You can look at the great ones of the modern era, they experienced it as well. For a young guy like Kyrie, this is probably the first time he has ever had this kind of heat or criticism. It is tough to keep working through it."
